Camera Safari Como Park

Saturday December 6 Outwoods, along with everyone else in St Paul it seems, took our cameras to the Como Park conservatory and zoo.

We decided to go with a different approach and shoot people. Ok, not "SHOOT" them but you already knew that didn't you? As evening turned to night I think we were taking random shots of anything reasonably interesting.

Here are a few of mine.

This week we were in downtown St Paul with the theme "Neon". It's hard to shoot something that is so eye catching yet so commercial to start with. Neon signs carry a lot of emotional baggages since they are tied to casual time commerce, i.e. drinking, eating, etc.

Yesterday, 8/22/08 we shot around St Anthony Main area with the theme being text, signs, numbers.

On the 4th safari the theme was circles, arcs, spheres and we shot at the Walker sculpture garden.

This months schedule

Aug 16

Meet at 6:45pm at the Loring Park
bridge and we'll walk around the Walker
Sculpture Garden. The theme will be
details and pieces. Pictures can be
posted on the Outwoods website. Rain
cancels. Camera, tri or mono pod
recommended.

Aug 22

Meet at 7 pm at the North end of the
Stone Arch Bridge and we'll walk
around the NE side. Bring your tripod
and we can concentrate on sundown
and shadow. Pictures can be posted on
the Outwoods website. Rain cancels.
